Cleansing Crystals

If you look through my shop, you'll see that  hand crafted jewelry and other offerings from Goddess Findings  use natural  gemstones and materials exclusively (with the occassional Swarovski crystal, hand blown glass glass finding tucked in here and there when the occassion calls for it!) . All pieces are crafted entirely with sterling silver components because this is the metal that is nearest and dearest to my heart- and I love to sell what I love. I also feel that most of the stones are happiest to be paired with sterling as it's the metal governed by the moon , representing lunar, receptive, feminine energies- thus making these pieces perfect fashionwise from day to day, but can also double as diving or magical tools, if the wearer choses to commune with her pieces in that way.

Reading through my descriptions, you'll often see notes where I've either cleansed, or charged the individual gems or beads to be used in the design.  While there are many, many blogs and youtube videos all  how to charge crystals or beads,  I thought I'd show you how I go about it here at Goddess Findings. One day, I'm going to leap into making videos with applomb!

For clear and balanced gems, I use the 4 elements: earth, air, water, fire.  Fill a cermanic bowl with the crystals, sprinkle some sea salt, leave for a few hours, replace the sea salt with fresh and cover with water.   How long is up to the crystals and your intuition. Really try to tune in to the crsytals and trust, they will tell you what's what, I promise!  I felt these were pretty comfortable in there, so left them in for about a day and 1/2.  For optimum effects, try to do this during a waning moon.

You can use distilled water, or Archangel Michael or Lakshmi water....(see recently posted video by Jacqueline Dubois!)

Next, drain and rinse the crystals and set them gently in some earth, or over rice, or set on a slab of wood and leave in sunlight and moonlight for a few days....

Then, place them again in the strainer, pass them over some wafting incense or sage (my preference for cleansing)--ask the spirits of the air to cleanse and empower them with the energy of the wind.

Then, last, slowly pass them over a flame while asking the salamanders and other spirits of the fire to cleanse through the fire through warmth of the hearth.

Last, I place the stones in a dish and ring my Tibetan Singing Bowl for sound balancing, and see the sound aligning the stones with Source...

And voila, the stones are cleared, cleaned and ready to set with your intentions!  I ususally then set these stones and beads in their own tray, go ahead and create my piece, keeping the tray in a consecrated area that remains clear and free of any harmful influences. I  make sure they are fed each day with the beautiful music on my Mantras YouTube playlist, to keep them happy!
My Crystal room~ as it's flooded with rainbows each afternoon!
